Opticist.org

Opticist.org will release a free 2D DIC (digital image correlation) software on June 30, 2009.  This software has the following notable features:

(1) Free!  You do not need to pay anything.

(2) Robust!  For instance, the existing software usually can not provide you the results at the points near or on the edges or boundaries.  This software can provide you the results at any points in the region of interest. For example, you will not lose points along a crack.

(3) Reliable!  This software involves an excellent technique for reliable DIC analysis.

(4) You will get the source code for free!  The C++ code will be available later in 2009. 

This software is based on Dr. Pan's published 2D-DIC review papers and Drs. Pan and Wang's two newest papers (under review).
